I LOVE my job!
I’ve been a professional Reflexologist for twenty years, trained and certified by the International Institute
of Reflexology. http://www.reflexology-usa.net. My clients come to my office and remove their
shoes and socks before sinking into my comfy reclining chair. For the next hour, I do all the work and
they get to enjoy the relaxing effects. It is SO rewarding to help people feel better! During
this time, we TALK! We talk about EVERYTHING!
I’m the Mother of two FABULOUS sons. This Mothering
job is HARD! I had NO IDEA what I was getting into! I actually put a lot of extra effort
into getting those babies, WHAT WAS I THINKING! The load was pretty heavy sometimes, so
if I couldn’t carry it I dragged, pushed or pulled! I worried, worried and worried that I wasn’t
doing a good enough job, but my oldest son recently told me I must have done a few things right. Turn on
the LIGHTS, start the MUSIC, he handed me an OSCAR and I’ll take my BOW!
I was raised on a farm and, after
my older brothers left, my Mother and I worked it ourselves. Dad was a truck driver and away from home,
so Mom and I had to do everything, even when we didn’t know how. I learned to be inventive, and to
keep trying idea after idea until one WORKED! I’m very close to my Mom. She’s
an amazing woman, inspiring me, and all my clients, with her strength and wisdom.
I learned to read on my Mother’s
lap. When she tired of reading children’s books she switched to reading aloud whatever she was reading.
I was SO bored when I started first grade!
I continue the habit of reading constantly.
How my imagination has been fueled and my mental horizons stretched by reading!
Because of my varied life experiences
and constant thirst for knowledge, my clients have always enjoyed my different perspectives, funny stories and creative ideas.
For many years they’ve been telling me to write a book. Well, this is it!
